Services Philosophy
HJM Architects, Inc. designs vary considerably in appearance and organization.
We feel that this is entirely appropriate. All of our projects receive
intense design attention from the Principals. We provide single management
sources for the total project so that all communications between the Owner
and HJM are the responsibility of one person, the Principal-in-Charge.
The Principal-in-Charge will be responsible for scheduling and performance
of all in house activities and the work of our consultants. Other architects
and staff become available to the Principal-in-Charge as necessary to
meet the project development schedule.
Good creative design demands cooperation between the Architect and Client.
We place emphasis on the development and exchange of information implemented
through the following programs:
Evaluation and Analysis:
Systems analysis procedures and research applied to a project are structured
so that both the Architect and Client can use them together.
Full Presentation of Alternatives:
The client is never presented with a single scheme for approval. A variety
of solutions are carefully and systematically explored.
Cost Control:
Life-cycle costing, energy conservation design, separate-element design,
and independent cost estimates are all utilized by the firm to assure
cost-efficient buildings. The project scope and budget are established
and cost control is maintained by periodic reviews and updates of the
estimate.
These philosophies have contributed to HJM's ability to produce aesthetically
pleasing, economical, functional, and cost-effective buildings on time,
within budget and to the satisfaction of our clients.
