HJM Architects, Inc. designed the "new look" for the Price Chopper Marketplace to meet the Owner's desire to change the store image and to upgrade amenities to compete with other supermarkets in the area. The facility includes a food court with an exterior dining patio, banking services, a dry cleaners, a travel agency, pharmacy, floral area and bakery. The facility also includes three mezzanines; one with offices, break/meeting rooms and men's and women's toilets, and two for refrigeration and electrical equipment. The design incorporated a clearstory at the main entrance and a covered drive at the grocery pick-up area. The structure is a steel frame and the exterior walls are constructed of two color, two texture Cimarron Concrete Masonry Units. |
